Authentic Black Sabbath Heaven and Hell autographs. Autographed in silver marker by Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Ronnie James Dio & Vinnie Appice in silver marker.

Heaven and Hell were an English-American heavy metal rock band from 2006 to 2010. The band was an original collaboration featuring founding Black Sabbath members Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler. Together with former Black Sabbath members Ronnie James Dio and Vinny Appice.

The four members of Heaven and Hell recorded / toured together as Black Sabbath from 1980 to 1982. They re-joined to record new songs for the 2007 hits album. Black Sabbath: The Dio Years, then they embarked on a 2007–2008 tour. Tony Iommi, the owner of Black Sabbath name, decided to call the touring group Heaven & Hell to differentiate the project from the Ozzy Osbourne-led Black Sabbath. Taken from the first Dio-fronted Black Sabbath album, Heaven and Hell. According to Iommi. The name change was made so that fans at concerts would not expect “to hear “Paranoid” and “Snowblind” and all the Ozzy songs; it’s none of the old stuff, it’s none of the Ozzy time. It’s all Ronnie James Dio stuff. So changing names to Heaven and Hell, it’s revisiting that period.”

The group stopped following Ronnies sad death from stomach cancer in 2010.

Ronald James Padavona (July 10, 1942 – May 16, 2010), better known by his stage name Ronnie James Dio, was a singer, songwriter, and great musician. He was in many rock bands such as Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell and his own Dio. Making famous the “metal horns” hand sign in metal culture and was known for his medieval-themed lyrics. Dio held a powerful varied vocal range able of singing both hard rock and lighter songs.
