George Harrison’s personal owned and worn Ray Ban sunglasses. A pair of unique customised Ray Ban sunglasses in blue white and beige resin, especially made for George Harrison during the 33 1/3 and Gone Troppo period . The Gone Troppo album artwork shows George wearing a white fedora with similar sunglasses. The style of these glasses led to the promotional sets that were produced as merchandising to accompany the 33 1/3 LP promotion. The lot is accompanied by proof artwork for Gone Troppo an album slick for ‘Somewhere in England’ and an unreleased 45 cover for ‘Extra Texture’. With a copy of an in-house Dark Horse records letter from 1979 authorising the removal of these and other items from the record company building.
