Led Zeppelin 1 was the debut album by rock band Led Zeppelin. It was originally released on the 12th January 69 in the States and on the 31st March 69 in the United Kingdom by Atlantic Records. Featuring integral contributions from each of the group’s four members. John Bonham, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones. Furthermore, the album got recorded in October 1968 at Olympic Studios in London; and started their style of both blues and rock music. It attracted a large and loved following to the band; Zeppelin’s take on the emerging hard rock sound took them to parts of the counterculture on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
Although the album was not well-received when it was first released, it was a commercial success. Critics have since become to see the album in a more favourable light. Later in 2003, Led Zeppelin debut ranked in number 29 on Rolling Stone‘s list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. This kept that position after the list got updated in 2012. In 2004, the album was then inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
