German magazine cover, signed in black felt tip pen by all four members – Robert Plant, Jimmy page, John Bonham & John Paul Jones. The Magazine cover is affixed to a slightly larger sheet of off-white paper. In very good condition with some light creases to the edges and a small tear to the bottom edge. The signatures, acquired at an airport in Germany in the mid-1970’s. A scarce full set of signatures of this always desirable group. Measures: 11″ x 7.5″

 

An English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group is guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist John Paul Jones and drummer John Bonham. The band’s heavy, guitar-driven sound; rooted in blues and psychedelia on their early albums. This has earned them the name as one of the fathers of heavy metal, though their unique style drew from a wide variety of influences, including folk music.

After changing their name from the New Yardbirds. Led Zeppelin signed a deal with Atlantic Records that afforded them considerable artistic freedom. Although the group was initially unpopular with critics. They achieved great commercial success with albums such as Led Zeppelin memorabilia (1969), Led Zeppelin II (1969), Led Zeppelin III (1970); Led Zeppelin IV (1971); Houses of the Holy (1973) and Physical Graffiti (1975). Their fourth album, which features the track “Stairway to Heaven”. Overall among the most popular and influential works in rock music, and it helped to secure the group’s popularity.

Led Zeppelin is widely known as one of the most successful and influential rock groups in history. Furthermore one of the best-selling music artists in the history of audio recording, various sources estimate the group’s record sales at 200 to 300 million units worldwide. Also, their nine studio albums placed in the top 10 of the Billboard album chart and six reached the number-one spot. Then achieved eight UK number one albums. Rolling Stone mag described them as “the heaviest band of all time”, “the biggest band of the 70’s”.
