Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg (June 5, 1971) an American actor, producer, former model, businessman and rapper. Likewise known by his stage name Marky Mark in his early career as a singer for the group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. He released the albums Music for the People and You Gotta Believe. Wahlberg later turned to acting, having appearances in films such as The Basketball Diaries and Boogie Nights as well as war comedy-drama Three Kings in the 1990s. During the 2000s, he acted in the biographical disaster drama The Perfect Storm. Furthermore the science fiction film Planet of the Apes; the heist film The Italian Job and the Martin Scorsese directed crime drama The Departed; for which he got an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
